On 1st July 2024, the YWCA Ghana marked its 72nd anniversary with the physically challenged persons of the Accra Rehabilitation Centre. As part of the celebration, the YWCA Ghana generously donated a variety of essential provisions and sanitary items to ignite unity and support for physically challenged people in the Community or Centre. This donation was aimed at improving the quality of life of the residents in the Centre, reaffirming YWCA’s commitment to serving the most vulnerable in the Ghana.

One of the highlights of the day was an impactful presentation on the pressing issues of violence, particularly in relation to vulnerable women. The interactive session provided valuable insights and practical information on gender based violence, while fostering an open and engaging discussion among participants.

The day was not only educational but was also filled with moments of joy and camaraderie, as both YWCA members and residents of the Accra Rehabilitation Centre enjoyed a day of learning, fun, and meaningful connection. The celebration underscored the organization’s continued dedication to empowering young women and women in Ghana.
